Gen Auto AI (General Autonomy Inc.) is an award-winning Rutgers startup innovating at the intersection of AI and autonomous systems. Backed by the NSF, NJEDA, NVIDIA Inception, Amazon AWS, and Google Startups, and supported by TechUnited and Verizon, we are developing a first-of-its-kind platform for automated safety verification of autonomous vehicles and robotic systems. Our tools integrate foundational AI models into robust verification pipelines, enabling safer and faster deployment of emerging autonomy technologies.

What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a versatile full-stack developer with a passion for AI, autonomy, and robust system design. You’ll be helping us build an interactive and scalable platform for the verification and validation of autonomous systems, integrating real-time and event-triggered safety assessment tools.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing front-end features for the platform using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and HTML/CSS
  • Building and maintaining back-end APIs using Python (Django/FastAPI) and managing cloud deployments (AWS, Azure)
  • Designing and integrating interfaces with autonomous systems and simulation tools
  • Supporting data visualization, user workflows, and secure access control
  • Collaborating with AI engineers on integrating LLMs and safety analysis features
  • Contributing to agile sprints and improving CICD pipelines for rapid prototyping

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in Python, Django, JavaScript/TypeScript, and API development
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React preferred) and UI/UX best practices
  • Strong grasp of RESTful services, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and database management
  • Interest in robotics, autonomy, or safety-critical systems (experience is a plus but not required)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with simulation platforms (ROS, Carla, AirSim), WebSockets, or message queues
