Dr. Aliasghar (Al) Arab is a research director at Agile Safe Autonomous Systems (ASAS) Labs and an adjunct research professor at Tandon School of Engineering of New York University (NYU). He has over eight years of industrial experience in Artificial Intelligence, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation, and Autonomous Vehicles. He has worked in academia and with companies of varying sizes, from early-stage startups (Zoomi Inc., Nuro AI) to prestigious research labs (Nokia Bell Labs, Verizon Emerging Technologies Lab). He has demonstrated his ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. He is passionate about enhancing the safety and reliability of robotic and autonomous systems for future sustainable autonomous communities. His goal is to advance state-of-the-art control theories using AI for autonomous robotic applications. He believes that his efforts will have a positive social and environmental impact.
